The smell of fresh strawberries in the air means the Florida Strawberry Festival is near. The Festival is returning to Plant City starting Thursday and running through March 9.
Attendees can indulge in a variety of strawberry-themed delicacies, from the classic — strawberry shortcake — through the more adventurous — strawberry mashed potatoes and chocolate-covered strawberry lemonade.
Beyond these culinary concoctions, the festival boasts an impressive lineup of live music. Notable artists scheduled for this year include Tommy James & The Shondells, Nate Smith, Lauren Daigle, Bailey Zimmerman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beach Boys, Nelly and Reba McEntire. Tickets for these shows are sold separately from Festival admission.
In addition to the headliners, visitors can explore the Neighborhood Village, where local artisans showcase and sell their crafts, check out the livestock exhibitions and competitions and hit the midway for carnival rides like the Berry Big Wheel and Pharaoh’s Fury.
