The new station in need of art, Orlando Fire Station 2, also known as the “Pride of Parramore,” is located off of Robinson Street and Hames Avenue and replaced the older Station 2 back in April.
According to the City of Orlando, the 5-foot-by-8-foot “wall” that sits in front of the new station is where the winning bronze relief design will go.
The budget for this project sits at $22,500, and an artist honorarium of $2,500 will be given to the artist with the winning design.
All submissions should be sent to Keith Beasley, the Public Art Coordinator of Orlando at charles.beasley@cityoforlando.net.
The deadline for this competition is Wednesday, May 31.
