OK, it may sound a little bit too squee when you try to describe it: Adorable monsters, screen-printing and design-your-own T-shirts at Downtown Disney – squeeeeee! But sometimes you just need a good squee, and this interactive art event should provide just enough without crossing over into sickeningly sweet territory. Fort Lauderdale artist Michael Reyes (aka Terribly Odd) has mastered the art of illustrating the cute and alien, and he’ll be unveiling six new designs at this show based on classic old-movie monsters. (Think Bride of Frankenstein re-imagined a cross between a Kidrobot art toy and a My Little Pony, and you’re on the right track.) Those designs will be screen-printed live, and Reyes will create custom mix-and-match designs you can have printed on the T-shirt of your choice – pick a monster design, pick a background, pick a T-shirt and pay the good man for sharing his hard work and talent. They’ll be cute, collectible and – yes – they may make you squeeee! But in a good way. – Erin Sullivan
