Coastal cities in Florida can keep their big waves for surfing, because here in Orlando, we have (what seems like) hundreds of lakes, which easily lends to a massive wakeboarding culture. Orlando continues to produce a throng of top-notch boarders, so it only makes sense that the first stop on the King of Wake series lands this week at Orlando Watersports Complex. The Nautique Wake Games, a pro-am bout of wakeboarding, wakeskating and sitboarding, touts more than 50 extreme athletes from around the world. Reppin for O-town in the men’s pro division, the (soon-to-be-reality-TV famous) Soven brothers of Windermere, Phil and younger brother Bob, induce a bit of sibling rivalry. (MTV will be on site shooting for the pair’s upcoming show, Wake Brothers.) But we’re certain with the talent expected at this battle, these bros won’t be the only ones making waves – or back flipping over them, for that matter. – Aimee Vitek
