Mako is being billed as Orlando’s “tallest, fastest, and longest” coaster, and will serve as the centerpiece of Shark Wreck Reef, the new 2-acre shark encounter area.
A video released earlier in the year by SeaWorld jotted down the speed of the coaster at 73 mph. That, mixed in with the fact that coaster is about 200 feet tall makes for a pretty thrilling ride— or terrifying, if roller coasters aren’t your thing.
Mako is part of SeaWorld’s latest most visible shift in company focus after announcing it would end it’s controversial orca breeding program back in March.
