Over at SeaWorld, construction is well underway with their latest hypercoaster endeavor MAKO, a ride that hopefully won’t trap guests for over 3 hours.
MAKO will feature a 200 foot climb, which was topped off yesterday. Coupled with speeds of 73 mph and over 4,700 feet of track, the new ride will be the tallest, fastest and longest coaster in Orlando.
Slated to be the centerpiece of a two acre shark-inspired section of the aquatic theme park in 2016, MAKO is a hypercoaster, which just basically entails high speeds, steep drops and hills that mimic a feeling of weightlessness for its riders. This article appears in Jan 6-12, 2016.
