According to the Miami Herald, Royal Caribbean canceled a scheduled Saturday voyage for the Adventure of the Seas, which can carry 3,114 passengers, and has instead sent it to San Juan, St. Croix and St. Thomas to help pick up evacuees and also carry supplies.
A spokesman for the company told the Herald that the ship plans to bring back more than 3,000 evacuees to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In August, Royal Caribbean also sent ships to St. Thomas and St. Martin to assist with rescuing nearly 1,700 people after Hurricane Irma.
