We can’t actually review our writer Richard Reep’s new art show at Stardust (logrolling), but we’d be remiss in not letting you know it’s hanging, because it is worth a long look.
Reep created these sculptures from urban scrap material and other found and salvaged items, and named the show Dreams of Escape. The spirit of flight is strongly evident – both physical flight, in all the wings and jet engines, and flight as in change and renewal.
It’s a welcome change to see sculpture in Stardust’s Doubleleg Gallery, proving that if you have the right tools, you can install just about anything on those concrete walls.
