Coming from the U.K., writer-directors Gavin Robertson and Nicholas Collet are here to present their talented cast in an original show titled Done to Death, by Jove! However, it seems the show’s company is stuck on the freeway with a broken-down car, along with all the props and costumes. The show must go on, so join Sir Gavin and Sir Nicholas in what is now a half-improvised, two-man, original murder mystery featuring characters Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Matron Maudsley and more.

As the show progresses, there are many more hiccups than imagined. From missing props and fast costume changes to misdirected murder motives and acting mishaps, the two men fumble over their show; but with big laughs from the audience and encouragement from each other, they finish off strong with the murder solved. Throughout the performance, there is major audience engagement and breaking of character, but not without purpose.

If you came expecting a suspenseful murder mystery, you are in for a surprising treat. Not only is it dramatic, but mirthful. This is a true show that “went wrong,” done tastefully and hilariously, and accessible for all types of audiences.
