As Japanese blind boxes and collectibles grow in popularity across the U.S., Orlando is hopping in on the movement with the opening of a new Japanese “clawcade.”

Specializing in all things cute and collectible, Mirai Arcade hosts its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, in the Waterford Lakes Town Center. The event will include special promotions, including no card activation fees until Jan. 27, and complimentary raffle fees when purchased.

Mirai Arcade houses claw machines filled with plushies, blind boxes and other collectibles. Guests can also test their luck with the walls of Japanese gacha machines and strike for a small prize.

Merchandise, including popular Sonny Angel and Smiski figurines, is also eligible for purchase. Products are personally sourced by the store and Mirai intends to keep prices reasonable for collectibles despite the rising costs of many popular items, according to Mirai’s website.

For those planning to frequent the store, Mirai Arcade offers two membership tiers for special privileges like exclusive products and discounts.
