Santa has his checklist, but any holiday lover keeps one as well, an itemized set of expectations rooted in the familiarity of seasonal traditions. Sort of like how some families put the Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving – no sooner, no later. That might seem premature to some, but in Ivanhoe Village, holiday festivities are coming even earlier in the form of Jingle Eve. It’s the neighborhood’s annual event that brings street vendors, musicians and food trucks to the portion of North Orange Avenue sometimes called Antiques Row. This year, note that Santa will arrive sooner (at 5 p.m.), which gives you an hour to photograph your kid before the Wine Stroll at 6 p.m., and then the Boat Parade at 6:30 p.m. As usual, stores in the area will be offering specials, including a free raffle at Living Morocco, which starts at 6 p.m. – Ashley Belanger
