Orlando’s resort hotels are always looking for unique ways to keep guests on-site. From live alligator exhibits to laser shows, there are plenty of unique offerings at Central Florida resorts, but Grande Lakes now has something novel to the market and brand new to any resort in the country.

The AquaCourse 360 brings the fun of a traditional ropes course poolside. The wet and wild adventure has guests strapped to an overhead guide beam that allows them to safely navigate over swinging bridges, balance bars and other obstacles all while being soaked from overhead tumble buckets, water jets and water cannons operated by other guests. Thanks to the overhead guide beam, guests can interact more with the trail than a typical water play structure would allow because railings and other safety features aren’t required.

Taking an estimated 10 minutes to complete, the AquaCourse 360 offers guests a distraction from the nearby lazy river and other pool amenities. It is slightly elevated off the ground but never more than a few feet so even those with a fear of heights would likely be OK on this aqua-themed ropes course. Fun for families, the course is also a unique option for groups looking for a memorable team building opportunity.

AquaCourses have been growing in popularity since debuting seven years ago at Alabama’s Splash Adventure where it quickly became the most popular attraction in the water park.

Currently, the Grande Lakes course tickets are in addition to the regular resort fees and it operates year-round, weather permitting. Guests must be at least 48-inches tall to do the course.
