Dressed like a refugee from a non-Equity of Cats, Good guides his audience through a world of lesbian lizards and dolphin blowhole-humping the likes of which you never read about in National Geographic. From the sad, sterile story of Lonesome George, the last Galapagos tortoise, to the fact that fruit bats can perform auto-fellatio, Good’s gallop through the animal kingdom’s kinks (illustrated with occasional video projections) is like watching Richard Attenborough’s stag film collection.
Between the erotic animal anecdotes, when he isn’t digressing into breathless rants about the butterfly effect and multiverse theory, Good shares stories from his life as a polyamorous bisexual in hipster Brooklyn. He invites potential Tinder dates to meet him mid-show (no takers at the preview) and fantasizes about three-way parenting with his partners. The stories of animals’ sex lives are more interesting than his own, and Logan Donahoo covers some similar material with sharper focus. But if you don’t find the idea of giraffes engaging in golden showers side-splitting, Fringe probably isn’t the place for you in the first place.
