
With regards to the year’s best performances, Colin Firth took home Best Actor for The King’s Speech, Natalie Portman won Best Actress for Black Swan, while The Fighter‘s Christian Bale and Melissa Leo won Best Supporting Actor and Actress, respectively. Jennifer Lawrence was dubbed our Newcomer of the Year for her work in Winter’s Bone.
Inception technically got the most love (Best Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Visual Effects and Art/Production Design). I Am Love was our pick for Best Foreign Language Film, Toy Story 3 won Best Animated Feature, and The Tillman Story won Best Documentary.
That leaves – last, but not least – Matthew Curtis, programming director for the Enzian Theater and the Florida Film Festival, who won the Golden Orange award for outstanding contributions to film/filmmaking in our fair state.
