Let’s get twisted – but not in the Jack Nicholson kind of way. Emotions Dance Company is showing their love for Orlando audiences with their new production, Twist: The Love Edition. It’s the second installment of their Twist series, in which the dance company asks fans to vote for their favorite songs on Facebook, and then choreographs to the most popular choices. From what we’ve seen from Emotions so far, we can expect The Love Edition (choreographed by artistic director Larissa Humiston and some of the senior company members) to be influenced strongly by their solid jazz base with lyrical and balletic styles thrown into the mix. The movements will embody love, romance, breakups and such – perfect timing for Valentine’s Day. So find a sexy human with whom you’d like to spend the evening supporting a local arts effort
and whatever else. – Kathryn Tosh
