The biggest news is that Dinosaur the ride will remain open through 2025 at Animal Kingdom. The opening-day attraction will close in 2026 as Disney World begins construction on the new Tropical Americas land.
Also at Animal Kingdom, “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” is to premiere at the Tree of Life Theater in winter 2025. That means you still have a few months to experience “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” before its final curtain.
While Magic Kingdom eagerly awaits new Cars and Disney Villains lands, the park will debut a new parade and Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern next year.
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” is set to debut in the summer. The nighttime experience will feature fan-favorite characters from Peter Pan, Moana, Frozen and more on illuminated floats powered by the Blue Fairy’s starlight magic. Then the tavern, open to pirates of all ages, will open in late 2025.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, two new shows will open their doors in the summer. “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” stars the most sinister characters including the Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent and more. Then, the Animation Courtyard theater welcomes “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” with new sets, puppets, live performers and two new musical numbers — “Daughters of Triton” and “Kiss the Girl.”
Over at Epcot, the park will welcome back Test Track and open a Spaceship Earth Lounge. Test Track will once again be presented by General Motors, which sponsored the attraction when it first opened until 2012. The new Test Track will open in late summer 2025, but Disney said to keep an eye out for cars on the track early next year.
Opening in late spring 2025, the Spaceship Earth Lounge will pay tribute to the architecture and style of Epcot’s iconic landmark. The lounge will feature elevated, glamorous designs and sweeping views of the park’s World Celebration Gardens. It’ll also be a great spot to catch the nightly fireworks.
Beyond new attractions, Disney After Hours returns at Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom. The ticketed experience features lower crowds and wait times along with free ice cream, popcorn and bottled drinks.
