From the innovative mind of star Tymisha Harris and the folks behind Josephine, Josie & Grace follows the (mostly historically accurate) adventures of actress and activist Josephine Baker and actress-turned-princess Grace Kelly. A critical and audience fave at the 2021 Fringe Festival, Josie and Grace dramatizes the often-turbulent friendship of Baker and Kelly, taking place in the latter years of Baker’s life from the 1950s through the 1970s.
Their enduring friendship happens against very real backdrops of racism, the political climate(s) of the times, and Baker’s and Kelly’s changing fortunes. Though set decades ago, you’ll find plenty to relate to the present day, for better or worse.
