Bilge rat – An insulting name a pirate would call someone who they consider to be the lowliest creature on the ship.Bucko – A jovial term meaning friend.Scallywag – A term for a mischievous person.Strumpet – A promiscuous woman or female prostitute.Grog – An alcoholic liquor, typically rum diluted with water.Arrr! – An exclamation that could mean anything from “yes” to “I agree” to “I’m happy.”Booty – A term meaning treasure found on other ships.Lubber – A person who is unfamiliar with the sea or seamanshipSquiffy – tipsy or slightly intoxicatedBlimey! – An exclamation of surpriseHang the jib – to pout or frownPlunder – to rob the booty of another ship.
