Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center this week welcomes a production of C.S. Lewis’ 1942 satire The Screwtape Letters.

Set in hell, the widely acclaimed story follows senior devil Screwtape’s journey to capture a human soul destined for damnation, told in the form of a series of letters to his nephew and lower-level tempter, Wormwood. And the live adaptation has it all: debaucherous temptation, spiritual warfare, good old-fashioned Christian apologetics and precisely one skin-tight costume.

The 90-minute show makes just a single appearance in Orlando on Saturday. Take I-4 straight to hell for this one.

4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, Walt Disney Theater, Dr. Phillps Center for the Performing Arts, 445 S. Magnolia Ave., drphillipscenter.org, $70-$104.
