Disney’s Hollywood Studios is still in the midst of a multi-year remodel that will eventually include massive new Star Wars and Toy Story lands, but in the meantime, the park has only four rides.

With such limited offerings, Disney is looking for all it can to keep people coming to the park. Toy Story Land should be opening by this upcoming summer, but that leaves this winter with a park that, by many, is viewed as a half-day attraction at best.

Disney has now announced a ton of new holiday trappings at Hollywood Studios. Former offerings like the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks and projection show will return, but this year the park is kicking it up a notch.

Echo Lake will get a massive Christmas tree in the middle of the lake, and Gertie, the snow-covered dinosaur in the lake, will be given a dino-sized Santa’s hat.

The biggest updates are happening over on Sunset Boulevard. Sunset Seasons Greetings will transform the entire street into a festive holiday fairyland. Holiday-themed billboards will come "alive" along the street with videos, similar to the paintings found throughout Universal’s Harry Potter-themed lands.

At the end of Sunset Boulevard, the Hollywood Tower Hotel, where the Tower of Terror is located, will receive a brand-new projection show that will include scenes featuring Mickey Mouse, the Swedish Chef and Olaf. The Olaf scene will feature music from the brand-new Frozen short film that's being released with the theatrical debut of Coco this fall.

The artist renderings posted on the Disney Parks Blog show snow effects along Sunset Boulevard as well. These fake snow effects have become a favorite feature of many local holiday events including ones in Celebration, at UCF, and along Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. Some rumors even point to a stylized Aurora Borealis projection show along the street.

Other rumors point to new holiday updates to Star Tours and Toy Story Mania though these holiday updates have been rumored for years.

A Santa meet-and-greet will run through Dec. 24, with Santa Goofy filling in for Santa Aug. 25 through the 31st. The holiday festivities at Hollywood Studios begin Nov. 9 and run through the end of the year.
