In a video released today on their Facebook page, owner Lambrine Macejewski said Cocina 214 has been looking to site a second restaurant for some time and called the Daytona Beach location a “jackpot.”
“I can already feel the warmth,” she punned after a welcome speech from the Daytona Beach city manager and chamber of commerce.
In our 2011 review, OW restaurant critic Faiyaz Kara called Cocina 214 “quite possibly the finest restaurant of the ‘haute-Texican’ cuisine genre in these here parts.” No open date has been announced yet, but as you can see above, the staff symbolically “broke ground” today.
