Everyone is well aware of the major remodel coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but the sting of closures still hits some with what they believe are unnecessary shutdowns. The most recent surprise closure is that of popular music group Mulch, Sweat and Shears.

The landscaper-themed trio has been a must-see for many locals when visiting the park and has gained a cult-like following among Disney fans. The group posted confirmation of the closure on their official Facebook page earlier this month. The final show will be Oct. 10, just two days after their 11th anniversary on Oct. 8.

The band is known for their comedy-filled rock shows. Around 14 members are currently active in the group but only five perform at a time. The band uses a set that looks like a lawn maintenance truck with a truck and a trailer that is converted to the stage during the shows. The DHS shows are currently hosted in the Streets of America area that is rumored to be closing after the final showing of the Osborne Lights.

Just like Off Kilter (another popular cover band recently canned at WDW) Mulch, Sweat and Shears is also known by another name when they perform outside of DHS. The other name, Los Lawn Boys, is also what was used when the band released their first album in 2006. That being said, the LosLawnBoys.com domain is now inactive. The band does sell merchandise featuring the Mulch, Sweat and Shears name on it but outside the Facebook page, the Los Lawn Boys name is seemingly gone.

There is no word on which, if either, name the band will use post-Disney. Some members already perform outside of Disney but there are few performances currently featuring the full band.
