After years of trying to sell their oceanfront beach home near Mar-A-Lago, the Trump sons are offering to be your landlord. They listed their home at 1125 S. Ocean Blvd for rent, for the measly sum of $208K per month
The 10,455-square-foot “Bermuda-style” house has been on the market on and off for years. After sitting unbought at nearly $50 million, the Trumps doubled down and raised the price by $10 million more. It’s still for sale at that price.
The home was thrown up well before Trump owned nearby Mar-a-Lago in 1956. The mansion has eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, all located along 194 feet of beach frontage.
The home was purchased for $11.5 million in 2004 by Maryanne Trump Barry, the sister of former President Donald Trump, until she sold it to a limited liability company owned by Donald Jr. and Eric Trump in 2018 for $18.5 million.
Trump’s large adult sons don’t live on the property. Bloomberg reported that the Trumps have used it as a rental, previously going for a song at $100,000 per month.
“Because of its proximity and its lack of privacy, it would probably be a difficult thing to sell to someone who’s not a Trump supporter,” said Guy Clark, a real estate agent with Douglas Elliman, to Bloomberg News. “It’s great for a Trump supporter to own that house and have the accessibility to Trump and his world. For that type of person it’s the right house.”
The rental listing is represented by Margit Brandt of Premier Estate Properties.
