Weekend update: Orlando gets Jack Harlow for his only Florida show this weekend. You might remember SNL poking fun at him earlier this year with a note-perfect imitation (complete with bungled dap) after he said making newest album Monica made him “Blacker.”
He’s since described the album as less “braggadocious,” pulling back from rap’s self-validation in favor of more reflective writing. On stage, expect to hear new (sometimes brand-new and unheard) material before familiar tracks like “What’s Poppin’” and “Industry Baby” work their way in. So yes, you’ll get the hits, but House of Blues is also getting a more introspective Harlow than his singles might suggest.
