Orlando is no stranger to the heat, but Coming to the Cottage: A Heated Rivalry Dance Party is sure to kick temperatures up a degree or two.

Originally a novel by Rachel Reid, the six-episode series Heated Rivalry, released in late November of 2025 on HBO Max, became a hit as fans followed the complicated romance between Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, two star-crossed lovers who just so happen to play on rival professional hockey teams.

Aside from the larger popularity of the show, Hollander and Rozanov have become favorites in the world of fanfiction, video edits and themed “fan experiences” nationwide.

With music from the soundtrack and adjacent queer-pop hits, dance party Coming to the Cottage has everything you need to get on the ice and feel the beat. While Shane and Ilya can’t make it, there will be plenty of go-go goalies to make you feel like you’re on the ice, ready to win the cup.

Themed drinks and photo-ops will be available as well for attendees. So, whether you’re rooting for the Boston Raiders or the Montreal Metros — or just there to watch the “Big Ole Freak” edit on a 19-foot screen — come prepared to sing and dance to all things Heated Rivalry.

7 p.m. Friday, July 10, The Abbey, 100 S. Eola Drive, eventbrite.com, $20-$25.
