So by now you’ve probably grown a little dry-mouthed with regards to the Facebook photos of your more outdoorsy friends crashing through metabolism-challenging exertions of five-kilometer excellence in situational extremes. Sure, we all could run at some point in our lives, but maybe we don’t anymore because there is no flavored reward. However! The latest thing going in these 5Ks that make people feel more wonderful than people who run in mud is something akin to Pixy Stix, apparently. The Flavor Run is a 5K thing that will
happen TWICE on the same day (9 a.m. and 2 p.m.) at Bill Frederick Park out in Metrowest, and it will be colored and flavored. You could do worse, Veruca. Don your glad shoes and make a day of it. If you’re going to be covered in powder, it might as well be brightly colored powdered sugar.
9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 | Bill Frederick Park, 3401 S. Hiawassee Road | flavorrun.com | $50-$60
