The history center is partnering with the GLBT History Museum of Central Florida, which collected the items for the exhibit titled Pride, Prejudice & Protest: The GLBT History of Greater Orlando.
“We’ve worked very hard this year to make this exhibit a reality and share it with the entire community so they can learn about the challenges we’ve faced,” says David Bain, president of the GLBT History Museum, in a statement.
The GLBT History Museum of Central Florida says the exhibit will include a video detailing the history of the Parliament House, a panel from the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, and historical LGBT publications. Admission to see the exhibit will be free on Saturday, Oct. 8, during Orlando’s Come Out With Pride festivities.
