The Ringling Brothers might have some furry competition heading their way.
The Menestrelli Dog Circus will have a free show at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, inside the Great Hall at Artegon Marketplace.
Led by professional circus actors and animal trainers Yanina and Sergey, the circus showcases a herd of pooches performing tricks like somersaults and stair-climbing, as they go along with the show’s storyline.
Menestrelli is based on the Italian Commedia dell’arte, which is a type of theater that utilizes standard masked stereotypes to tell the love story of Colombina and Harlequin.
In this show, the two lovers are poodles.
