Nine years following the Pulse Nightclub shooting in 2016, First United Methodist Church of Orlando hosts a remembrance ceremony this week.

The observance honors the 49 people killed in the mass shooting, as well as survivors, families, first responders and trauma teams all impacted by the tragedy. In commemoration, the event begins with the reading of the names of all 49 people and the tolling of 49 bells in their honor.

The ceremony also features remarks from family members and survivors, along with musical tributes. There will be a livestream available on the Pulse Orlando website for those who cannot attend in person.
