SeaWorld Orlando is gearing up for the return of its Christmas Celebration, which begins Saturday, Nov. 16, and runs through the New Year.

The park will be transformed into a wintry — but still aquatic-themed — wonderland with over 3 million lights and all sorts of holiday decor. Some of the signature experiences include an outdoor ice rink at Bayside Stadium and the dazzling Sea of Trees in the park’s lagoon.

Live shows and entertainment

  • “O Wondrous Night”: The event’s signature show features the story of Christmas as told through life-sized puppets, live animals and carolers.
  • “Mrs. Claus’ Magic Kitchen”: Mrs. Claus gets her own cooking show to dish on all the best Christmas cookie recipes and spill some of the North Pole’s sweetest secrets.
  • Snow flurries on the Waterfront: Enjoy snow flurries in Florida along with marching toy soldiers, ballerinas and Santa’s helpers strolling the Waterfront.
  • Sea of Trees: The event’s biggest holiday attraction is a watery winter wonderland of illuminated Christmas trees in the park’s lagoon. Lights and decor are set to holiday music and a towering centerpiece tree sits 70 feet above the water.
  • Ice skating at Bayside Stadium: Bring socks and gloves to skate in the pop-up ice rink at Bayside Stadium. The add-on skating ticket includes your skate rental.
  • “Winter Wonderland on Ice”: Also in Bayside Stadium is a nighttime ice-skating show with all the best holiday tunes.
  • Meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Stroll through the classic holiday story in Rudolph’s Christmas Town and meet beloved characters like Bumble and the red-nosed reindeer himself.
  • Visit Santa Claus: Reserve your spot to meet the big man himself. Reservations ($19.99) include a 6×8 photo to take home.
  • An Elf’s Story: Classic Christmas tales become interactive experiences for all ages.
  • Holiday trains: Don’t forget to check out the miniature holiday train set of lights and festive villages at the Shoppes at the Waterfront.
  • Holiday Reflections Fireworks Finale: Each night of the Christmas Celebration, the fireworks finale lights up the park with holiday lights and fireworks set to festive music.
Christmas in Sesame Street
  • “Elmo’s Christmas Wish”: Cookie Monster, Rosita, Grover and Zoe help Elmo find his holiday wish in this sing-along and dance-along show at the Seaport Theater.
  • Holiday photos with Friends: Meet beloved Sesame Street characters in their Christmas outfits.
  • Sesame Street Christmas Parade: The daily Sesame Street parade gets a holiday makeover with characters in new outfits and decorated floats.
  • Big Bird’s Christmas Storytime: Visit Big Bird’s nest to hear some of his favorite Christmas stories.
