Rollins College brings back their Mister Rogers Walking Tour for the month of March, highlighting the school’s most famous alumnus and distracting us from doom-scrolling (maybe!) for a couple of hours.

Through March 31, the self-guided walking tour returns to take folks on a deep dive into the formative years of young Fred Rogers, then an undergrad music student at the private college.

Marking what would have been the children’s television host’s 96th birthday, the stops include: Olin Library, where visitors can see a pair of Rogers’ sneakers and a personal collection of books and photos; the Walk of Fame, featuring a stone in honor of Rogers; the “Life Is for Service” plaque; Tiedtke Concert Hall, where a portrait of Rogers was painted, hanging in the Fred Rogers Lobby; and the commemorative “A Beautiful Day for a Neighbor” statue of Rogers holding Daniel Tiger.

Rogers-philes can take the tour Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting at the Olin Library.

More information on the tour and the artifacts at each stop can be found on Rollins College’s website.
