Once the de facto style of fine dining in the United States, changing times and tastes have turned the steakhouse into a bit of an anachronism. The trappings of fine dining are still around in most Orlando steakhouses, but the air is much less rarefied in the rooms themselves.

In short, steakhouses have become a place for regular folks to have a fancy meal. So why not check what they have to say on the matter?  According to the hoi polloi, these are the best steakhouses in all of Orlando.

Kres Chophouse (407) 447-7950, 17 W Church St Though it hasn’t been around all that long in the grand scheme, stepping into this downtown steakhouse is like stepping back in time. The focus on bringing in a ritzy clientele has left the interior of this CBD restaurant feeling like a time warp back to when going to get a nice steak was the finest thing a discerning eater could do for themselves.
Eddie V’s Prime Seafood (407) 355-3011, 7488 West Sand Lake Rd This Darden-owned steak and seafood restaurant failed to impress our own critic upon opening, but Orlandoans (and deep-pocketed tourists) seem to like it fine.
Delmonico’s Italian Steak House 407-226-2662, 6115 Westwood Blvd The Orlando location is the only one of this micro-chain of hybrid Italian steakhouses outside of upstate New York. We’re sure it’s more than just snowbirds making it an Orlando favorite.
Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster (407) 645-4443, 729 Lee Rd Dress to impress and
Ocean Prime (407) 781-4880,7339 West Sand Lake Road Orlandoans have fallen hard for this chain of steak and seafood houses.
Fogo de Chao (407) 370-0711, 8282 International Dr, Brazilian steakhouses come heavy or not at all, offering diners and endless parade of preparations and cuts.
Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House (407) 351-5074, 9150 International Drive International Drive is a hub of steakhouse chains on all ends of the price ladder. This upscale outpost is yet another.
Saltgrass Steak House Multiple locations This Texas chain brings a few Southwestern appetizers in and drops the price, making it a perfect budget option for carnivores.
Steak on Fire 407) 440-2323, 7541 Sand Lake Rd Steak on Fire brings the Brazilian steakhouse concept down a few price points, offering sandwiches as well as traditional cuts.
