Devo, unlike your faithful correspondent, have elected to not stop, drop and go fetal in frozen horror. Casale himself has of late released solo single “Just Do It,” a spiky, angular DAF homage that he calls “my little celebration of the fact that we have a homegrown tyrant.” And the collective Devo — currently Casale, singer Mark Mothersbaugh, guitarist Bob Mothersbaugh, keyboardist/guitarist Josh Hager and drummer Jeff Friedl — are currently out on the road for one of their most intensive years of touring in recent memory.
