The National Epic Universe Portal Tour brings a piece of Orlando across the U.S., making stops in four U.S. cities ahead of the park’s official opening on May 22.
The traveling experience will feature a 30-foot-tall replica of Chronos, the portal that will serve as the entryway to Epic Universe and its five themed lands: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.
The portals will play sequences showcasing scenes of the new park. And when the sun goes down, a nighttime light show with synchronized music will illuminate the portals for an epic end to this experience.
The National Epic Universe Portal Tour will be open in Atlanta (April 11 to 13), New York (April 23 to 26), Philadelphia (May 16 to 18) and Chicago (June 13 to 18).
Universal Orlando is giving visitors a chance to turn their portal visit into a real trip. Guests can enter sweepstakes for a shot at winning a getaway to Universal Orlando Resort and experiencing Epic Universe firsthand.
The tour offers an early look at what Universal is calling its most ambitious theme park yet, setting the stage for its official debut in Orlando.
The resort recently opened two new hotels in the Epic Universe world, Stella Nova Resort and Terra Luna Resort.
