The Central Florida Zoo is giving you all the chance to officially name a baby warthog whatever you want, you know, like Pumbaa, or Hamela, or Hamlet.

On April 17, a 1lb 8oz baby girl was born to two of the Zoo’s warthogs, Joy and Chop. Now, as of July 1, the “spunky” and “adventurous” little hog is ready to receive visitors.

"Our newest addition has everything she needs with the exception of a name," said Central Florida Zoo's CEO Phil Flynn in a press release.

If you have any baby warthog name suggestions, post a picture of your yourself in front of the warthog habitat along with your baby name to the zoo's Facebook page, The contest will be going on till July 15 at midnight and the winner will be announced on July 22.

The winner will receive the Keeper Adoption level for their newly named warthog, which includes a stuffed animal, a photo of the warthog, keeper notes, two guest passes to the Zoo, and an adoption certificate, along with two Zoo t-shirts that are not typically included with the package.

If you do not compete, or you don’t win, then this baby hog, along with over a dozen different critters, are still eligible for the Adopt-an-Animal program, which allows anyone and everyone to help support the zoo and the animals that live there.
