Last night, Red Bull presented 20 Orlando artists with one relatively simple, though eccentric, task: to transform a blank canvas-wrapped cooler into an affecting work of art. Hosted at Orchid Garden on Church Street, local artists set to work on creating thoughtful art pieces with an unconventional canvas.

Though each of the artists’ completed works from the event will be featured at various locations around town, Marcos Cruz and Gregorii were selected from a panel of judges (including our editor, Erin Sullivan), to display their pieces at SCOPE art show in Miami during Art Basel this December. The same tour has also stopped in cities such as Chicago, Portland and LA and will be continuing its excursion around the country next month. Congratulations to all of Orlando’s extraordinarily talented artists who participated in the event, and we look forward to seeing them continue to push their art in the near future.
