Orlando’s Dolly Parton fans can soon step away from their 9-to-5s and straight into Dollywood.

A limited specialty flight, courtesy of Allegiant Airlines, will take passengers from the Orlando area to the Dolly Parton-infused amusement park later this year.

The more, ahem, august Orlandoans among us will fondly remember Parton’s previous foray into Orlando tourism — the Dixie Stampede dinner-and-a-show attraction on Vineland that ran from 2003 to 2008 before sadly shuttering. (Think Medieval Times crossed with Dollywood.) This themed flight is as close as Orlando will get to having some of Parton’s rhinestone-bedecked magic in our city limits, unless she ever comes through on tour again.

Flight No. 925, named after Parton’s 1980s hit “9 to 5,” will take off for the first time on Nov. 6, departing from Orlando Sanford International Airport and landing at Knoxville, Tennessee’s McGhee Tyson Airport. This glammed-up and Dollyfied version of Allegiant’s usual nonstop flights to Knoxville  will continue throughout November.

Flight 925’s Smoky Mountain trip comes with exclusive Dollywood-themed gate decor, merchandise, trivia, food, beverages and live performances.

The flight’s November timing aligns with Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Event, which is the 15-time winner of the Golden Ticket Award’s Best Theme Park Christmas Event.

Allegiant and Dollywood will announce additional flight-specific benefits for the Christmas Event as the date approaches.
