As of Thursday morning, more than 3 million Florida residents were left without power, including hundreds of thousands without power in Central Florida.
According to poweroutages.us, at least 3,406,907 outages have been reported, and the number continues to climb.
Duke Energy is reporting 82,309 customers without power in Orange County; 46,949 in Seminole County; 9,481 in Osceola County, 50,783 in Lake County; and 40,093 in Volusia County.
A message shared on Duke Energy’s website says it is experiencing delays and its crews are ready to assess damage and respond to outages as it is safe to do so.
Florida Power & Light is reporting 125,590 without power in Volusia County and 24,460 in Seminole County
Orlando Utilities Commission is reporting 83,869 customers impacted and 282,106 customers served.
OUC shared the following message on its website:
“Due to the large number of outages, some customers may experience difficulty reporting an outage. If this occurs, please call 407-423-9018 to speak to a representative.Outages only need to be reported once. When it is safe enough to do so, crews are ready to assess damage and respond to outages caused by Hurricane Milton. Thanks for your patience while we wait until it is safe for our teams to respond.”
Some OUC customers have reported issues reporting power outages. The City of Orlando released a statement saying customers can report outages to OUC via its social media channels (@OUCreliableone on X, Facebook and Instagram).
