It's about to get a whole lot uglier on Interstate 4, if you can believe it.

Starting Thursday (NOPE), the eastbound I-4 exit to South Street (82B) will be moved about one-quarter of a mile back and combined with the eastbound exit ramp to State Road 408 (82A), the Florida Department of Transportation says. The right lane on the exit ramp will continue to South Street while the left lane goes to the toll road.

UPDATE, NOW WITH EXTRA PAIN: Florida DOT sent us this advisory at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday: "The eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit to South Street traffic shift is being pushed forward by a day – meaning the traffic movement that was supposed to happen overnight tonight (Tuesday night into Wednesday morning) will now be happening Wednesday night into Thursday morning, April 18." God save us all.

Basically, the SR 408 ramp is about to become more of a nightmare.

"We have about 12,000 drivers a day that use that South Street ramp," I-4 Ultimate spokesperson David Parks told WKMG 6. "Now, we're adding that to an already busy, congested 408 ramp."

Gross.

FDOT says the temporary ramp change will be in place for 18 months to give I-4 Ultimate construction crews a safe workspace while they demolish the old bridge over Division Avenue that will no longer be used.

R.I.P. for now, 82B.
