Starting today, you could be a shill for Google ads. A month after changing their terms of services, Google rolled out a new program which uses your name and profile photo in advertisements. Basically, if you’ve ever reviewed or +1-ed anything using your Google login, that information is fodder for Google to use in advertisements.
Don’t fear; there’s a way to opt out of it! Just click here, scroll to the bottom and make sure that you’ve opted out of sharing your endorsements. Then, your opinions and likeness will once again belong to you (unless you’re on Facebook, then you don’t even own the words you’re thinking right now.)
