Meet Puffin! Puffin (A589865) is a 1-year-old stray who was found running in traffic at night by a good Samaritan.
Why is her name Puffin? When she first got here, she was extremely fearful and aggressive. She would growl and “puff” air out loudly, to keep people from touching her. Though she was scared, she had a strong heart and a big attitude, and she would not back down easily. So the name stuck.
This is Puffin now, about a month later: an incredibly mushy and affectionate dog. Gentle, intelligent, and extremely treat-driven. Puffin will melt into your arms if you let her — she is amazing with people, and even better with other dogs. She’s not shy, and loves to play like the puppy she is. She doesn’t know any commands yet, and is still learning how to walk on a leash.
