Singer Anthony Green is set to headline the Abbey this weekend on his solo tour. The Pennsylvania artist made his name fronting big-name post-hardcore acts, but is currently giving himself some “me” time musically.

Green released his most recent album, So Long, Avalon, last month, a reimagining of his 2008 solo album, Avalon. His familiar high vocal timbre stays the same, but the music has evolved from indie-folk rock to a passionate, grown-up soft-rock sound.

Though Green has done time in heavy acts like Saosin, Circa Survive, and Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, Saturday promises a night of raw vulnerability and poignant lyricism. His stop at the Abbey feature openers Geoff Rickly and Kurt Travis.

7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26, The Abbey, $41.50.
