Orlando hip-hop has some words for the powers-that-be at Beats Over Borders, Rhymes Over ICE

Commission Beer Chamber is drawing a musical line in the sand in late August with “Beats Over Borders, Rhymes Over Ice.”

The daytime event features performances from Kaotic Blaze, Javi XI and Damez as well as a cypher battle for “Sickest Rhyme Against ICE.” The show is hosted by the Bearded Soul along with guest speakers Rep. Anna Eskamani and Felipe Souza-Lazaballet.

Beats Over Borders happens on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 2-6 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. There will be a raffle too, with all proceeds benefiting Hope CommUnity Center.
