Folk punk and abortion access? Sign us up.

The good people of Montgomery Drive are putting on a punks-unplugged night to benefit Planned Parenthood the day after Xmas, and the lineup features Marc Cortes of Hungover, Boston Marriage, Shy Dog Mountain Resort, Braveweather and Please Be Kind.

Here’s the deal: Florida’s near-total abortion ban became state law in May. This means if you live in Florida and you need an abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, you have two options: Travel out of state to get your abortion or carry your pregnancy to term against your will.

Abortion funds such as Florida Access Network) and organizations like Planned Parenthood are essential to providing abortion care and repro- ductive health services to those whose economic circumstances deny them the basic human right to bodily autonomy. Amendment 4 nearly passed in November with 57% of the vote statewide. We are the majority, and we will see you at Will’s Pub.

7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, Will’s Pub, 1042 N. Mills Ave., willspub.org, $10-$15.
