With an album title like The Moon Rang Like a Bell, Hundred Waters knew they'd be sounding a gong to alert fans that their alien chamber pop was still resonating strongly through space. A couple months ago, the Gainesville electronic darling celebrated their new release by inviting music friends like Kodak to Graph, Majical Cloudz, Grimes, How to Dress Well and others to join them in Arcosanti, Ariz., for three days. Thankfully, they also invited photographer Tonje Thilesen (who has documented festivals like SXSW and Moogfest, and shot for music sites like Spin and Pitchfork). The result was a set of incredible photos, including those shown here and 30 more featured on Spin's site. These were out favorite shots of Hundred Waters members Nicole Miglis and Trayer Tryon:
Hundred Waters will be performing new songs (we already love) this week here in Orlando, 9 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Social with Gems (D.C. dream pop that Buzzfeed claims is the best band you've never heard of) and Sales (an Orlando electronic duo everyone should know about).
