The rumors are true: Voodoo Doughnut is bringing their talents to Florida. No opening date beyond "spring 2018" has been announced.

The cult-favorite gourmet doughnut shop (motto: "The magic is in the hole") exploded out of Portland 15 years years ago and now has multiple Oregon locations as well as shops in Austin, Denver and Los Angeles ... and this spring, Orlando will be added to that list.

Universal CityWalk will be home to fried delights like the "Dirt Doughnut, the Bacon Maple Bar, Grape Ape and, of course, Voodoo Doll doughnuts," according to a Universal spokesperson. We doubt they'll be serving the infamous NyQuil doughnut or the ever-popular Cock-n-Balls, but who knows? This world just keeps evolving, right?

On a recent trip to Austin I tasted the triple chocolate penetration (chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and Cocoa Puffs), Mexican hot chocolate (chocolate cake dusted with cinnamon sugar and cayenne) and Chuckles (yeast donut with mocha-dusted chocolate frosting, caramel and peanuts) and can personally vouch for the deliciousness. Be warned, there is always a line at Voodoo, and the CityWalk location will be no different – but IMO it's worth the wait.

One way the Universal CityWalk location will be different, though, is that they will take credit/debit cards. All other Voodoo locations are cash-only.
