
The Nazca Lines Restaurant, a Peruvian restaurant that’s been “built with intention” from its custom-designed kitchen to a menu rooted in heritage, will open next month in the old Happy Teriyaki space at 3260 N. U.S. Highway 17-92 in Longwood. In addition to mainstays like lomo saltado, guests can expect dishes like seco a la limeña (beef stew spiked with aji amarillo) and ají de gallina (shredded chicken in a creamy, spicy sauce). Former Off the Hook chef Santiago Gomero will be the executive chef.
Michi Ramen & Hibachi and Tsaocha, offering bubble tea, fried chicken, and egg waffles, has opened in the old Noodles & Co. space at 3863 E. Colonial Drive in Colonialtown.
Azal Coffee will join Haraz, Jabal, Mariam, Riwaa and Barakah Beans in the crowded Arab coffeehouse scene. Azal will offer its roster of Yemeni, Saudi and Turkish coffees as well as teas, fruit drinks, desserts and pastries at 150 Cranes Roost Blvd. in Altamonte Springs next month. The location joins Azal’s three other coffee houses in Dearborn, MI; Milwaukee, WI; and Flushing, Queens.
Look for Don Patron Bar Bistro Lounge to open in the old Pretty in Pink Tea Room space this summer at 34 E. Main St. in Apopka. The restaurant promises an “electrifying vibe,” especially on weekends with live DJ sets. The menu veers toward the indulgent, offering wagyu sliders, lobster quesadillas and a chimichurri NY strip.
Hooked Fish Camp, a new venture from F&D Restaurant Concepts (F&D Prime, F&D Cantina, F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen) has opened in the old Hooters building near the Seminole Towne Center in Sanford. The seafood restaurant offers a sizable menu of Southern-leaning dishes.
