It’s been home to two longstanding restaurants (Ran-Getsu from 2011 to 2016; Teak Neighborhood Grill from 2017 to 2024) and one extremely short-lived concept run by a bunch of wankers who left workers in the lurch when it abruptly closed last December (Jaspers Bar & Grill).

But this fall, the ground-floor space at The Village at Lake Lily in Maitland will see Mexican fusion dishes being plated in vibrant digs. Selva Rosa Cocina & Bar will be an “elevated-casual space where people can hang out, enjoy good drinks and have fun,” says Heidy Cuevas, a spokesperson for the restaurant.

Selva Rosa will feature three distinct areas: the main dining room, a sushi bar and “El Patio Rosa.” The menu, Cuevas says, will blend Mexican, Latin American and Asian flavors to create a unique experience.

The restaurant at 901 S. Orlando Avenue is currently in the pre-inspection phase, but if all goes according to plan, Selva Rosa will open in late autumn.
