Orlando Business Journal‘s Trevor Fraser (ed. note: he was ours first) reported that the music venue and bar hit the market Tuesday, listed for sale by its owners, Tuffy’s Entertainment LLC.
First built in 1922, the 8,000-square-foot venue opened as Tuffy’s in 2018. The iconic venue includes a warehouse stage, an outdoor patio and performance space, an indoor bar and seating, plus speakeasy-style cocktail bar Suffering Bastard.
Tuffy’s took to social media Wednesday to relay the following message:
“We’ve had a lot of questions today, so just to clear things up: yes, the Tuffy’s property is listed — but the business is not going anywhere! We’re still rocking as usual, all events are happening as planned, and we’re not slowing down.”
Tuffy’s co-owner Dan St. Pierre told OBJ that the space will remain open for the foreseeable future, and the listing is more about exploring options.
He said he’s open to any kind of buyer for any purpose, and that the building is listed with a liquor license and other permits. It’s currently listed for sale without a stated asking price.
