Typically, Magical Dining Month only runs through the first week of October, so Oct. 8 was originally the last date for $35 dinner menus at more than 100 restaurants around town.

But no thanks to Hurricane Irma, most restaurants were closed the weekend of Sept. 9-10 due to lack of power or dangerous conditions. So Visit Orlando, the sponsoring organization behind MDM, has decided to extend the dining days for a week. Magical Dining Month will now end on Oct. 12. The extension is voluntary for the participating restaurants, but so far, more than half have committed to extending their special menus.

If you haven't made reservations yet for some of the most desireable restaurants on the Magical Dining list, now's your chance. Check out all the menus and plan accordingly.

So far, 1921 by Norman Van Aken and Osprey Tavern have had my favorite menus so far from the ones I've tried. I'm still dreaming about that crispy pork belly app at Osprey Tavern and the pumpkin soup from 1921.
